With early support from Sasha (who played the Reprise several times as intro in his sets), James Zabiela, Ben Watt, Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier and James Holden, Devil’s Water can be defined for sure one of the tracks of the year, planned for a full release in December with a great remix package.
It’s an incredible piece of modern underground electronic music, the vocal loop is just amazing, and this is definitely something you never heard before !
Rennie Foster has been a well respected figure in the Canadian music and art community since he was just a teenager. After visiting Japan several times to play, Rennie fell in love with the techno oriented Tokyo club scene and has since relocated to Tokyo where he now lives. With singles on labels such as Subject-Detroit, Monoid, Soiree, F Com etc. and his own imprints Futago Traxx and Dirty Works, his sound fuses the refined “minimal” elements of modern club sounds with the vibe of filthy Chicago House, Detroit Techno and early rave records. James Zabiela who loved this record since the first mailout worked on a re-edit of the Original Mix, delivering a powerful compression and EQ treatment that turns the subtle layered dynamics of the original into a throbbing bass-heavy big room monster.
The Youngsters follow their hot releases on Ovum and 2020 Vision with a strong remix, using a simple heavy key co-ordination balanced under high end spacey keys. A delicate and classy balance of elements..classic detroit, modern minimal and even a prog. sort of vibe, deep and powerful.. wow !
German finest producer Kiki loved so much the Original and wanted to remix it. The End Of The Night Mix is a classic in the making, epic with strings, rolling bassline and an old school vibe. The Dub is darker and more for the dancefloor, it transforms from Wild Pitch synthlines and quirky effect to a bassheady House monster reminiscing of early Murk sound.
