For our fifteenth anniversary we are proud to present LOS NIÑOS, the new musical project by Luciano and Michel Cleis.
A voluptuous turn towards the origins of creative pleasure, dictated by a primordial instinct. The two friends enter the studio, driven by the desire to share moments of fun - pressure off - in a blissful family mood, talking nonsense and playing music. Michel and Lucien meet for the first time in a recording field and give life to something new, a combination of electronic sounds, latin percussions and acoustic instrumentations, that brings emotions, rhythms and an irresistible melody. A song that gets stuck into your head and enters in your heart, pulling you into it more and more after every listen. And when you hear the main guitar riff coming in the break you can understand why this record has the potential to become one of the tracks of summer 2021 and perhaps beyond. 'STAR ODYSSEY' is born ! A joyful synthesis of a classic masterpiece coming from Pat Metheny discography, replayed live by three acoustic heroes: Dominique Favre ( keys), Marcello Giuliani (bass) and Eugene Montenero (guitar) and produced by LOS NIÑOS in a balearic club spirit.
Born in Switzerland and raised in Santiago, Lucien Nicolet aka Luciano has been a reference and devotional DJ for electronic music. He was a pioneer in the 1990s in the electronic music scene in Chile, humbly making his way into the scene's innermost circles and gradually gaining a loyal following. He later moved to Europe where his love of music and his charisma brought him ìfame. Starting from a series of exceptional releases on prestigious labels such as Perlon, Peacefrog, Mental Groove, M_nus, Transmat, Playhouse, Klang Electronic, Metroplex, Novamute and many others Luciano founded Cadenza Records in 2003, a label that has created a new trend in electronic music, and has entered the annals of the history of Ibiza dance since 2006, bringing to the island the biggest party of the summer, first in partnership with Circoloco, then at Pacha for the Vagabundos nights , and later to Ushuaïa, Amnesia and Destino.
Born and raised in the Italian part of Switzerland, Michel Cleis grew up listening to everything from John Coltrane to Talking Heads through the Italian singer-songwriter Lucio Battisti. He began collecting records very early and made his debut as a DJ in the late 80's, with a residency at the Dolce Vita, center of the alternative community of Lausanne. Attracted by the music fusions of Gilles Peterson and Patrick Forge, he released his first album in 1999 with the house collective Truxton. He joins Cadenza in 2008, with the extraordinary success "La Mezcla", and from that moment on he has come a long way, producing club hits like 'Mir A Nero' and 'Marvinello', collaborating with labels such as Pampa, Rekids, Cocoon, Ovum, Brownswood, Strictly Rhythym to name a few. His eclectic taste has led him to collaborate with some of the greatest artists in the industry and to create a unique style that embraces diverse influences and backgrounds.
