To celebrate the Rebirth 100th Release the label owner Shield and his 'right arm' Robytek get in the studio with Salvatore Principato (Sal P.) and Dennis Young, known as the vocalist and marimba/percussionist of the seminal early 80’s NYC band Liquid Liquid.
The experimental sounding band emerged from New York City's vibrant Downtown scene in 1981, developing their own unique sound, a fusion of irresistible basslines, junkyard percussion and urgent, free-flowing lyrics. The group’s successes included club hits such as 'Cavern' (sampled by Grandmaster Flash in the making of 'White Lines'), 'Bellhead' and 'Optimo' in addition to sold-out concerts worldwide.
The package includes two amazing remixes from Paranoid London and Playgroup.
Gerardo Delgado and Quinn Whalley, the duo known as Paranoid London, produce their third remix ever, delivering an outrageously catchy acid groover, early Chicago house principles done authentically and with a heavy dash of London-ready rudeness ! Trevor Jackson loved so much the Original version and decided to remix it. He follows up his critically-acclaimed 'Previously Unreleased' Playgroup Album with a strong version. Inspired by the hedonistic early days of house, disco, post punk, new wave, electro and dub, the remix is a sensory overload of chemicals, acid bass, smoke, sweat, sex and danger !
