The Wallflower project combines the vocal, song-writing and musical production skills of DJ Alison Marks with pianist and DJ Leah Floyeurs. They met on a dance floor and united over lifetimes immersed in music and a shared sense of the ridiculousness of life. Marks and Floyeurs explore various combinations of piano-led composition, melodic riffs moving effortlessly between songs and dance tracks, something magical happens, hidden as the personality of a true wallflower.
'Say You Wont Ever' owes its birth to a Currarong bird that called in the early morning hours for days before Leah transposed it to her family's piano in Brisbane. The lyrics explore the murkier ends of romance; a tale of love at first sight turned murderous obsession. Alison's haunting vocals mirror the delicate balance between sweetness, sorrow and psychopath.
The master Larry Heard delivers another future classic with three rocking and emotive mixes that will bring you to heaven...club, deep and underground ! The vinyl includes also another exclusive mix from Larry Heard.
While the Brooklyn-based trio Archie Pelago seduce with an heavy swinging future jazz-dance mix ! Class !
