Hammered by Pete Tong on BBC Radio1 and loved by djs like Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Seth Troxler, John Digweed, Adriatique and Guy Gerber, ‘Numero 5’ by the Italian dj and producer Gianluca Pegoiani was surely one of the underground tracks of 2020.
If we were excited to present the instrumental cut, now we are even more excited to announce the vocal version by Ann Saunderson.
Ann has written the song in a world of changes and tragedies. She comments “More and more incidents happened where police vs people falling victim to mistaken identities, shootings in schools, natural disasters happened around the world, and i could see 'us' being in for a Rough Ride with everything going on, but with faith and a little hope we can get through this”.
Born into a musical family Ann Saunderson began her musical journey at the age of 17, her voice was her guide and music was in her soul. She moved to London in 1987 where met the future husband and musical partner Kevin Saunderson. She became vocalist of the Kaos and The Reese Project and managed to co-write and perform background vocals on Kevin’s three Inner City albums. Ann has also co-written with producers such as Juan Atkins, Dave Lee aka Joey Negro, Slam, Agoria and Octave One for the anthem “Blackwater”, selling over 1 million combined copies worldwide.
A phuturistic Anthem for tomorrow that draws on the legacy of the past and propelled into the stratosphere. The full package includes also some hot remixes !
Canadian house music producer Nick Holder, owner of DNH Records teams up with Martino Lozej and Tyrone Solomon for a Trackheadz Remix. A fantastic vocal house version with warm keys and a super Chicago deep bassline. Pure class
